Remembering Rhinos Kickstarter is Live!

Following up the important and successful Remembering Elephants, Margot Raggett is back with Remembering Rhinos! The Kickstarter is now live and I’d love you all to check it out at and consider giving us your support. Along with many of the top wildlife photographers in the world, I am delighted to be donating an image to this important project. The Kickstarter will pay for the print run, and all subsequent sales of the book will go to anti-poaching initiatives via Born Free.

The Remembering Elephants book project not only produced a beautiful coffee table book; it also raised nearly $170,000 for this important cause. Complete your set, or create one instantly with one of the donation levels that includes both books. Remembering Rhinos is scheduled to be available before the holiday season in 2017 and what better gift for the nature, wildlife, or photography enthusiast than a thoughtful gift that benefits the continued fight to preserve wildlife?

paa-fbcv-nyc-tall

Two exciting bits of news today for those of you in New York and across the pond in the U.K.!

Limited spots still remain available for my Photography As Art Seminar in New York City this Sunday. During this day-long seminar you’ll learn from my lifetime of experience and interest in treating photography as an artistic medium how to create compelling and creative shots wherever you happen to be in the world, including your own back yard. Maximizing the artistic and creative opportunities of capturing images has always been a priority in my work, and I look forward to sharing my insights and experiences with you!

Sign up on our events page, or call 1-206-332-0993 to reserve your spot today!

I have attended several other Art Wolfe workshops in the past and have always learned something new. The Photography as Art Workshop in Denver was no different! I am by inclination a nature photographer, but Art’s presentation was much more than just nature photography. It was truly inspiring, and will have a significant impact on my photography in the future. Art’s message truly hit home for me. I would recommend the Photograph as Art Workshop to anyone with a serious interest in photography.

-Darryl D., Denver CO.

My latest book, Photographs from the Edge: A Master Photographer’s Insights on Capturing an Extraordinary World has been published and is now available in the UK as of today as well! Photographs from the Edge is a lifetime of experience distilled into a rich photographic education. Many of these photographs can never be duplicated as cultures and landscapes are transformed and wildlife diminishes or disappears all together.

Have a great weekend, and I look forward to meeting everyone at my seminar in New York on Sunday!

Photographs from the Edge Published!

art-pfte

Photographs from the Edge is a stunning and intimate behind-the-scenes guide to the experiences, decisions, and methods that have influenced forty years of stunning images captured around the world. Legendary photographer Art Wolfe and co-author Rob Sheppard transport readers on a global journey, while carrying on a dialog about photography, tools and process, world travel, close calls, and photographic opportunities both taken and missed.

From the explosive drama of a volcanic eruption in Iceland to the poignant moment of a tiny sea turtle hatchling scuttling to the ocean, Photographs from the Edge is a lifetime of experience distilled into a rich photographic education. Many of these photographs can never be duplicated as cultures and landscapes are transformed and wildlife diminishes or disappears all together. No matter his subject, Wolfe regales us with the stories behind the photographs and helps us experience life on the world’s most unique photo safari.

Visit our online store to order Art’s latest book!

“Art Wolfe has spent a career mixing his passion for artful photography and his passion for the diversity, nature wonder, and humanity of our world. With this collection we enjoy a grand tour of our world as only Art Wolfe can bring us. In a way, you could call Art the ultimate tour guide.”
– Rick Steves, travel writer and public television host
