Art Talks About Travels to the Edge
My inspiration for Travels to the Edge:
Creating the Night Fisherman
Great photography doesn’t just happen by luck…and sometimes involves more work than the final product would indicate. In this video I talk about one of my favorite photographs, the Night Fisherman, and how it came together.

A New Business Model in the Face of Faltering Stock Sales
Jim Martin and I were interviewed by Miki Johnson of livebooks in mid-March on a trip to San Francisco. Livebooks built our website and has become like partners in our business. Miki asked about our new approach to the business of stock photography for their Resolve blog, and I shared our view of the state of the business and our response to the changing environment.
Tim Grey Videos
When Tim Grey taught at our classroom, he paused to record his thoughts on the life of a photographer and the advantages of digital photography for our Expert Interviews, found under Learning on the site. He also talked about targeted adjustments in Photoshop CS4, found under Tips in Learning. Check them out.
Art Goes to Antarctica, 2010
We are going to Antarctica and you can come, too.
We have arranged to take the M/V Ushuaia from the tip of South America to the Antarctic Peninsula. We have room for 77 passengers, an ideal number since the entire complement is allowed to land at once. With the larger ships, each passenger’s shore time is cut in half. We will spend much more time on shore than most companies.
Our 11-day adventure runs from November 22 to December 2, 2010. The early season is the best for penguin chicks so we anticipate great shooting opportunities.
These trips sell out rapidly so don’t wait to contact us if you’re interested. For more information, check out the pdf on New on artwolfe.com.
