A lone Flamingo considers its own reflection in the expanse in the Eduardo Abaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve in the southwestern Andean mountains of Bolivia. This photo was captured on my most recent trip to South America.

The peak cherry blossom timing is carefully tracked in Japan. People join their friends and families in large numbers at parks, shrines and temples that have “sakura” trees to hold flower-viewing parties. On this trip I had to arrive on location in the wee hours of the morning to have a more relaxed photographing experience. The large trees really are quite magnificent when in full bloom.

The opening of the Earth Is My Witness exhibition at the Stadtische Galerie Iserlohn was more than I could have hoped for. I want to thank my hosts Rainier Danne and Holger Rudel for putting on a terrific event and the hundreds of people that showed up from all over Europe to welcome me, have me sign their Eden books, and see my presentation. The museum and theater were full to bursting!
The exhibit will be in Iserlohn through May 1. Then it will be moving on to Schleswig. If you missed me the first time around there will be another opportunity to see my presentation in early June!

I took to the skies to capture some shots of the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, Australia. The Great Barrier Reef is one of the world’s great natural wonders & now it is part of the largest marine park encompassing 1.2 million square miles of ocean surrounding the continent. It’s always good news to hear of a preservation of our planet of this proportion.
