Thousands have been touched by Art Wolfe’s presentations and workshops.
This Father’s Day consider giving Dad a jolt of inspiration and an experience he will never forget, whether it’s a one day seminar or a two week expedition at the ends of the earth. Art offers photographic learning at all levels of expertise and energy.
“I attended your lecture in Chicago…and want you to know that it was one of the most coherent, well organized, and inspiring talks I have ever heard. I am a physician in an academic medical center and lecture often. I try to inspire and add humor to my talks. You achieved these goals in a masterful way. You made learning seem effortless. In addition, your work is absolutely stunning and I would venture to say that you are a contemporary master of the medium.”—David E.
“I attended his lecture on The Art of Composition at the Colorado History Museum last year and I thought it was one of the best presentations I have ever attended. My original expectation was that it would be a technical discussion of how Art captures those magical photographs. It was much, much better than that, a thoughtful discussion of what it means to be an artist who happens to use a camera as his medium for expressing his views about nature and the world we live in.”—Richard N.
Consider these for a Father’s Day gift or a graduation present!
“Without hesitation it was the best photography workshop I have ever attended. By best I mean he combines the finest qualities of artist, photographer and teacher (including the ability to entertain), which is a rare combination today.” —Laurie N.
On June 6 at 10am I will be following up with the Art of Composition Seminar at the Ricketson Auditorium. This is my master class where I show insights and techniques that will help your photographic eye and transform your photography.
However, there is still space in the April 26th Art of Composition Seminar. It is my master class where I show insights and techniques that will help your photographic eye and transform your photography.

I am back in Antarctica–well, nearly, as the weather has been preventing us from flying to the icy continent and we are waiting in Punta Arenas for a break. I thought I would share some of the highlights from the newsletter sent out last week, including our hopeful rendition of the 12th Man flag flying atop the space needle. Our team may not have won the game, but the cities support will not recede!
I hope you have had a chance to check out the streamlined events page (formerly workshops) which covers everything from presentations to safaris. I particularly like the map view of all the events I have scheduled. Take a look and join me on a trip or take a seminar! Did you notice the addition of an Exclusive Svalbard Tour this summer?
My friend and colleague Cristina Mittermeier is looking for photographers, people who are passionate about nature and photography, to participate in the Por el Planeta photo competition. It doesn’t matter what age you are, what matters is your willingness to give your best for conservation. Sponsored by National Geographic, Televisa, and the Secretaria de Turismo of Mexico, Por el Planeta will allocate over $300,000 in prize money for the winners & all profits will be donated to conservation initiatives. Submissions close March 27, 2015.
Near the end of Earth is My Witness are the photo notes for all the images in the book. I had several requests for a separate copy of them for easier reading while viewing the pages of the book. We are now offering a download of the photo notes, and by entering the coupon code 1.2015newsletter, at no extra cost!
On to new discoveries and new destinations in 2015! Best of light to all of you.
For those that peruse my site often, you are used to seeing a link to my “Workshops” site, which has always been more than just workshops. It has now been re-built, and will include information on all types of events including seminars, presentations, online only events, as well as tours organized by partners.
It is officially our “Workshops, Events and Seminars” page, but you can find it by clicking “EVENTS” in the top menu.
You can view the content on the new site in a few different ways: a list, calendar by month, or a map.
We designed the site to be mobile friendly, as well as integrated with our new look. I hope you like the new Event site and look forward to seeing you at one of the events soon!
