Where do you want to go with Art?

Patagonian Landscape by Art Wolfe

I am planning my 2011 (and beyond) workshop schedule.  If you could/would go on a workshop with me, where would you want to go?

    Hi Art,

I would join you for a workshop in China on the international front or, within North America, around the greater Seattle area. Some of your most inspiring work for me is from around your home range and it would be a lot of fun to trek around these areas with you.

    Hope you are well.

    Chris

    Hi Art
I’d take ‘you’ to the West Of Ireland. With four seasons possible in one day here, you blink and the landscape has changed before your eyes.
    Best Wishes
    Ray

  3. I would be delighted to go to Antarctica and South Georgia Island with Art.

  4. I’d love to see a great, well known photographer do a workshop at some small park close to a metropolitan area to show people that you don’t need to break the bank to get to a location that can produce great images.

    Let’s go to Ireland!

Just because I live in Miami, FL, I would love for Art to come down and do an Everglades National Park (Wildlife + Nature) workshop.

  7. Maureen Elliott says:

I would really enjoy seeing part of Alaska in your company. I am most drawn to the bears and the glaciars, but would love to visit any part of this beautiful and amazing wilderness.

I would love to invite Art to my home state Colorado to “camp and hike” the whole Colorado Trail (Denver to Durango 483 miles) and do a “Wildlife and Nature” Photography workshop series!

  10. The Pacific Northwest. Partially because its a fantastic place filled with fantastic shooting locations. But also because some of the opportunities up there (large trees, vast forests) are weak spots in my shooting skill set, and I could learn a lot there working with someone like yourself.

If you’re up for a challenge, come to Central Illinois where we have…completely flat land…and corn. That’s about it.

  12. I was in New Zealand month ago and that would be very beautiful place to do workshop, but of course you can come here in Finland as well, if you like challenges. 🙂

If I could, I would absolutely love to go to Bolivia and Chile to do a workshop in Altiplano and the Atacama desert. Also would love to go back to Patagonia in Chile and Argentina with Art. Really anywhere with beautiful nature and Art would be an amazing experience!

    Here are a few 🙂
    Botswana
South Georgia Island, Falkland Islands, Antartica
Svalbard (or someplace else for Polar Bears)
    Nepal
    Patagonia

I would choose somewhere a little different… Your own backyard. The wonderful Japanese Garden you have would keep everyone busy for days!

  17. Alex says:

How about Smoky Mountain National Park. Spring and Fall are beautiful.

  18. Frank Kratofil says:

Lassen Volcanic National Park (Gorgeous landscapes with volcanic activity)and Sacramento NWR, CA. Largest wintering grounds for Snow Geese

  19. Stephanie says:

Anywhere with mountains. I would love to photograph mountains with you.

I would agree with David Truland that it would be interesting to see a professional photographer up close and personal in a place ‘close to home’ (small park close to large city). And if ‘close to home’ is the Pacific Northwest, as D. Travis North says, it would be even more perfect.

  21. Shannon says:

Montana would be at the tippy-top of my list, anywhere in it, really. Olympic National Park would be a close second.

  22. Terry Conner says:

I would go back to Vietnam, but think about extreme north, near China. See link:

  23. Ming says:

    1) Antarctica – South Georgia Island and Falkland Islands

    2) Patagonia (Chile and Argentina), plus a side trip to Easter Island.

  24. Art, I would take you to London, England to photograph the most deverse city in the world. I have spent a lot of time there and would like to see the city through the eyes of the Master.

I’ve just finished watching (for the 10th time!)
your program from New Zealand – with tears in my eyes. I visited NZ several years ago – sadly
without my husband, who died before he was able to
go with me. I am a very amateur photographer, but
how I adored NZ and will never forget its beauty. My dear Thanos wanted so much to visit
    that miraculous little nation.
Thank you for all your wondrous work!!

Dear Delaine- I am so glad that we could create something that is so meaningful to you. New Zealand is a remarkable and unforgettable place. I’m so sorry to hear about your Thanos. I am glad you finished his dream of going to this special place.
