in association with Amazon & DPReview

The USA’s Landscape Photographer of the Year contest opened for entries on the 15th July 2016.

Could you be the holder of the coveted title USA LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR 2016 and win the top prize of $15,000, or secure the title of YOUTH USA LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRPAHER OF THE YEAR 2016 for all those under 18 and win $2,500?

The search is now on to find the new winner of America’s most exciting photographic competition, founded by world renowned landscape photographer Charlie Waite and held in association with Amazon and DPReview for 2016.

Entrants can enter between midnight PST 15th July – midnight PST 15TH September 2016 by submitting their photographs of the American landscape. The contest is open to everyone and you can enter photographs across seven categories including Classic View, Black and White, Urban Landscape, Environmental Value and My USA. The Judging Panel consists of International photography greats including Antony Spencer, Art Wolfe, Brenda Tharp, Charlie Waite, Charlotte Gibb, Christopher Burkett, Ian Plant, Jim Patterson, Justin Reznick, Lori Kincaid, Marc Adamus , Marc Muench, Paul Sanders, Sarah Marino and Tim Fitzharris.

Unlike many other photographic competitions, the USA Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards celebrate the American landscape only, however you don’t have to live in the USA to enter.  This competition offers photographers worldwide the opportunity to showcase their images of this richly diverse and unique country.

The prize fund is worth over $45,000 including cash prizes for the overall and category winners in the adult and youth classes.  Both title winners will receive a master class and a professional portfolio.  Winning images will be featured on USA Today’s and Digital Photography Review’s websites plus of course USA Landscape Photographer of the Year’s website and social networking pages.  A number of the shortlisted entries will premiere at Photo Plus Expo, New York in October 2016 and an exhibition of 200 of the winning entries will follow, along with the best photographs from the competition in an Awards book.
