Buddhist monks bow in meditative prayer within the confines of Norbutse Bon Monastery located on a hill overlooking the Kathmandu valley. The maroon robes and yellow headdresses are a common wardrobe for these monks, many of whom fled neighboring Tibet, ahead of advancing Chinese occupational forces in the 1950s.
