The rare arrival of snowy owls to Western Washington and British Columbia is creating quite a stir. Yesterday I headed up to the George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary to see the big white predators, and I was not disappointed.

There have been sitings and reports from all over Cascadia.

    Beautiful shots! Thanks for pointing us to the sanctuary. We went up there today – no owls visible, but what a great place. I’ll definitely be visiting it again.

    Thank you so much for the tip to see the Snowy Owls! We had a great time and also saw lots of Eagles along the way and fed the Sandhill Cranes with the children!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
