    This was a tough one, but I’m pretty sure I found him. I did cheat, though. I had to download him & blow him up to be sure and when I did, I recognized his distinctive eyes. (I like photographing my local Mantises when they’re in season.) Did you know that if you talk to them, they will look at you and acknowledge your presence?

    This is one of the best ‘vanishing acts’ I’ve seen. I almost didn’t see the mantis – and I’m still not positive I did.

  5. Since the mantis is so difficult, I was hoping to see it posted with an outline. Just the way the others are revealed. I haven’t seen that one until now.

    Or maybe there isn’t a mantis in the photo….. 😉
